500km Walk for Autism raises $75,665 for Abacus Learning Centre in Hastings and Amaze
Greg would like to extend his thanks to everyone who was involved or donated to his 500km Walk for Autism.
In particular, he would like to thank the 56 schools he visited along the way for their warm welcome and their generous donations. Collectively, the schools helped contribute more than $10,000 to the walk.
Throughout the course of the walk, Greg was joined by more than 200 people, including primary school students, kindergarten children, grandparents, mums, dads, and members of the community.
Greg raised more than $75,000 for Abacus Learning Centre and Amaze (Autism Victoria) to help them continue their good work.
Abacus has used the funds to fit out their new building in Hastings adjacent to Western Port Secondary College, which opened at the start of this year.
The building will allow the children to flourish in their own environment and learn the skills they need reach their full potential.
Places like Abacus Learning Centre and Amaze can have a dramatic impact on a child’s life and open up a whole world of opportunities their families may never have thought possible.
Your support throughout the walk was tremendous and your donations will make a real difference to the lives of children with autism.
