*  Greg Hunt warned of the risks of poor-quality installations of solar panels on February 18, 2010.  He called for an Auditor-General's inquiry into the solar scheme, telling ABC Radio it had been "riddled with mismanagement" and homeowners were at risk.

* On 5 May 2011, Greg Hunt warned of looming chaos in the federal solar panel scheme, and called for a bipartisan National Solar Summit with industry, to make sure the right policy settings were in place to ensure a sustainable future for the industry.  The federal Goverment is yet to agree to this request (see media release below).

 

* On 29 June 2011, the NSW Government released the alarming results of an audit into solar panel installations.
