A re-elected Liberal National Government will deliver $200,000 to improve sporting facilities at Barber Reserve in Somerville.
Liberal member for Flinders, the Hon. Greg Hunt MP, said the funding would provide upgrades to allow Barber Reserve to take a larger role in the Somerville sporting community.
“We know how important it is for locals to get their 30 minutes of physical activity,” Minister Hunt said. “It is important that local communities like Somerville have the appropriate facilities to service all our local sporting clubs.”
“Barber Reserve provides a great training facility for our local football and soccer clubs, but investment is needed to ensure our local clubs have the facilities they need.”
“That is why a re-elected Liberal National Government will invest $200,000 to improve infrastructure at Barber Reserve, to provide a proper training home for teams like the Somerville Eagles Soccer Club.”
“Only the Liberals and Nationals have a proven track record when it comes to managing the Budget. By paying down debt and growing the economy, we can afford to deliver funding for our local community.”
