Federal Member for Flinders Greg Hunt said he was thrilled to announce successful projects under Round Two of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program.
“In total, we were able to grant nine local groups with funding in Round Two. This is a great result for the community,” Mr Hunt said.
The Dalyston Hall Committee of Management was one of the successful applicants to receive funding through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities grant program.
“I am delighted that the Dalyston Hall Committee of Management will be able to install four reverse cycle air conditioning units with this funding,” Mr Hunt said.
“This will allow the Dalyston dancers to continue to kick up their heels on the dance floor.”
Dalyston Hall Committee of Management Secretary Grant Davies said this would make an enormous difference, especially in the middle of summer and winter.
“We are very pleased to have this support from the Federal Government, allowing us to use the hall year-round in comfortable conditions,” Mr Davies said.
Mr Hunt said community groups in the electorate were sharing in grants of $150,000 per year over two years through the Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities program.
“The grants fund small capital projects that deliver social benefits to a variety of groups by supporting participation and contributing to the vibrancy of our local communities,” Mr Hunt said.
“Congratulations to all the groups that secured grants through Round Two of the Stronger Communities Program.
“I look forward to seeing local projects taking shape across the electorate as a result of this terrific initiative.”
