I invite you to attend a special screening of the documentary movie Planetary at the Dromana Drive-in on September 18.
This is a thought-provoking and aesthetically stunning visual exploration of our world and the Drive-in will host the only Australian screening.
The documentary includes spectacular imagery from NASA Apollo missions with powerful footage of the Milky Way and Buddhist monasteries in the Himalayas among many others.
It also features interviews from astronauts Ron Garan and Mae Jemison (the first African American woman in space) as well as many other expert scientists and environmentalists.
In order to encourage as many students as possible to broaden their minds through this cinematic experience the Dromana Drive-in is offering a special discounted student price of $11 per ticket.
Following the movie there will be nibbles, drinks and a question and answer session in the diner.
The panel for the question and answer session will include myself in my role as Environment Minister, David Speller from Sustainability Victoria and Aquatic Scientist Sheree Marris.
I encourage school groups, families and anyone with an interest in science or space exploration to attend the screening on Friday, September 18 at 6.30pm for a 7pm movie start.
Please contact Paul Whitaker from Dromana Drive-in on 0414314025 to arrange a special price for groups and families.
