Today Labor’s Shadow Health Spokesperson Catherine King failed to condemn the Palaszczuk Government’s cut to Mackay’s public hospital funding.
In stark contrast, the Federal Government stands ready to deliver over $7 billion in additional funding for Queensland public hospitals.

Labor puts politics before patients.

Six of Australia’s eight states and territories are now covered by the record funding agreement, including three Labor governments and three Liberal governments.
We stand ready to deliver record funding for Queensland hospitals, providing more doctors, nurses and services.
As part of a new long-term agreement, the Turnbull Government will provide an additional $30 billion for Australian hospitals, totalling almost $128 billion over the next five year hospital agreement.
At the end of the day you can’t trust Labor and Bill Shorten with the economy and you can’t believe a word they say on health funding.
Only the Coalition Government will continue to put patients first.
