For the past three years, the sporting captains of Rye Primary School have been holding community events to raise funds to fix their basketball courts, which have a significant slope, large divots in the bitumen and only one drain, which constantly leads to flooding of the courts.
This has led to numerous injuries, including broken arms, legs and ankles. These courts aren’t just important to the school, they provide a great opportunity for locals to exercise right near the heart of town.
When the kids can say that any time it rains their courts turn into a wading pool, it is time for the Victorian Government to act.
Show the Victorian Government that you want action. Sign our petition to call for bipartisan support to fix these courts.
