I am delighted to announce that Rosebud Toy Library will benefit from a $5057 Stronger Communities grant.
It is one of many local community groups in the electorate to receive a grant under the federal government’s Stronger Communities Program.
This grant will enable the toy library purchase child-sized furniture, couches, rugs, white goods and electronic equipment as well as additional toys.
Rosebud Toy Library is a not-for-profit, community-managed organisation that has provided a toy lending service to families on the Mornington Peninsula for more than 35 years.
The Rosebud Toy Library has been a pillar of the community for many years, providing toys to children across the Peninsula. I am pleased that they will be able to use this grant to continue their good work.
Community groups in the electorate will share in grants totaling $150,000 per year over the next two years through the Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Program.
The grants will fund small capital projects that deliver social benefits to a variety of groups by supporting participation and contributing to the vibrancy and viability of our local community.
Congratulations to the Rosebud Toy Library on securing this grant.
I look forward to seeing this and other local projects taking shape across the electorate as a result of this terrific initiative.
I expect to make further announcements in coming weeks about the successful projects funded under Round 1 of the Stronger Communities Program, with Round 2 projects to be announced in the second half of the year.
